John Kinder is Emeritus Professor of Italian at the University of Western Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities. A distinguished scholar and lecturer, he is widely admired for his ability to illuminate works of art—literary and musical alike—by drawing out their philosophical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions.
